The instrument for data collection was participation as an environmental adult education strategy in changing rural dwellers attitude towards management of forest resources questionnaire (PEAERDAFRMQ). One way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used in testing the hypothesis at .05 level of significance. The findings of the study showed that there isĀ  a significant influence of participation in the management of forest resources. Based on the findings of this study, it was recommended that if rural dwellers are allowed to participate actively in forest resources management, it will help them to take decisions on their own and this will help to change their negative attitude towards environmental issues.
