Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to examine Mass Media as an environmental awareness strategy and sustainable forest resource management in Ini Local Government Area of Akwa lbom State. To achieve this study, one hypothesis was formulated to guide the study. Literature review was carried out accordingly. Survey research design was adopted for the study.  A sample size of 200 respondents was selected for study.  A questionnaire was the   main instrument used for data collection. Pearson product b moment correlation analysis was used to test the hypothesis of the    study. Finding from the analysis revealed that Mass media significantly influence sustainable forest resources management. Based on the finding of the study, it was recommended that Government   and   other relevant   authorities should ensure that community members participate in activities of sustainable forest resources   management in the study area.
