Abstract

Nigeria’s Universities’ stability rests partly on the kind of activities students engage in while there. One of such activities is that of the indiscriminate use of alcohol which has metamorphosed into different patterns  as revealed in this work. Parents no longer have a clearer understanding of their children’s engagements both inside and outside the home. The most tasking being that, this behaviour if not arrested early enough, walks its way to the University campuses where such children influence some of the ills occurring within such campuses. It therefore, behooves on the family to recognize its position in being the first port of call in the socialization process of these children.
