Abstract

The study on teachers’ self-efficacy, anxiety and attitude towards the use of information communication technology was aimed at determining the effect teachers’ self-efficacy, teachers anxiety and teachers attitude towards the use of information communication technology. Based on the above, an exploratory and Prism scoping research design was adopted in order to gain insight into the phenomenon being studied and helps the researcher to draw inference from reviewed literature based on an established inclusion/exclusion criteria. Hence, the findings of the study revealed that teachers’ self-efficacy, teachers’ anxiety and teachers’ attitude has a significant effect on the use of information communication technology in schools. Based on the above, it was concluded that the effective integration of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in classrooms hinges on teachers' confidence and willingness to embrace this technology. Hence, it was recommended that the ministry of education should regularly develop training programs focused on building teachers' skills and confidence in using specific ICT tools and pedagogical approaches for different subjects’ delivery; also, school administrators should empower teachers to champion ICT in their classrooms by involving them in the selection and implementation of specific technology tools.
