Abstract

This study investigated the influence of print communication on collective bargaining in selected manufacturing companies in Akamkpa Local Government Area and Calabar Metropolis of Cross River State. One null hypothesis was formulated for the study and ex-post facto design was adopted. A sample of 385 respondents was randomly selected from seven recognized manufacturing companies operating in the two Local Government Areas in Cross River State. A modified four point Likert questionnaire consisting of two parts (A and BJ constructed by the researchers was used for data collection. Part A contained bio-data information of the respondents while part B had a five-item questions that measured the variable under study. The data collected were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and the results were tested at .05probability level. The finding showed that print communication significantly influence collective bargaining in companies under study. Based on the finding, it was recommended that print communication should be used widely as a tool for collective bargaining in companies for wider publicity which will in turn enhance productivity.
