Abstract

For any nation to develop effectively there is need to address human capital formation. The paper economics education planning as a catalyst for human capital formation for national transformation discuss the concept of economics education, importance of economics education for national transformation, concept of human capital. The paper further x-ray procedures for human capital formation and theory of human capital. It concluded that it is important for any nation that need meaningful development to emphasize on their educational programmes to produce quality human capital for national capacity building. It is emphasized that no one can experience serious national transformation without strong human capital formation. It also concluded that for effective economics education functionality for human capital formation, government should transform the pragramme through adequate fund allocation.
