Abstract

Inclusive physical education is a new trend that is attracting serious attention globally. Students with disabilities suffer neglect and are not being involved as they should in regular physical education programmes of public secondary schools in Cross River State. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate barriers of inclusive physical education among public secondary schools in Cross River State. A Researcher questionnaire was developed and used to collect data. Reliability and validity were tested by Alpha Qronbach and used Kolmogorov-Smirinov test in order to do analysis of the research. The findings reveal that schools, teachers and students were the barriers of inclusive physical education in public secondary schools in Cross River State, Nigeria. An awareness of these barriers has implications for inclusive physical education.
