The purpose of this study was to investigate creativity, problem=solving skills and competence skills among pupils in primary schools in Ogoja Education Zone of Cross River State. To achieve this purpose, two null hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. Literature was reviewed according to the variables of the study. Correlational research design was utilized for the study. Simple random and systematic sampling techniques were adopted to select the 118 public students and six hundred and seventy three (673) respondents used for the study. A twenty item four point rating scale questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. The instrument was validated by relevant authorities. Cronbach alpha method was employed to establish the reliability of the instrument. Pearson product moment correlation statistic was utilized fir data analysis. The result of the analysis revealed that there was a significant relationship between creativity and competence skill among pupils. The result further revealed that there was no significant relationship between problem-solving skill and competence skill among pupils in primary schools in the study area. Based on these findings it was partly recommended that teachers in primary schools within the study area should continue to guide their pupils to further develop their creativity level in order to promote competence among pupils.
